Hydronic Heating In Slab Concrete Pour

A holiday home in Barwon Heads had a Hydronic in slab heating system installed with a Sime Hydronic boiler. Mercury recommended a Wi Fi thermostat to enable the home owner to remotely control the system so that the home was warmed prior to arriving. The pipe was installed with 200m centers and the finished floor was polished concrete. Bedrooms had radiator panels to allow for individual temperature zoning. The Air Conditioning was 2 x Fujitsu Ducted Refrigerated units installed into bulkheads.

Hydronic Heating In Slab Before Concrete Pour

Red Rehau Hydronic pex a piping with 200mm centres prior to concrete pour. Standard procedure is to have the builder mark out the kitchen bench and cupboards, in this case with yellow paint, so that we avoid those areas to stop the pipe from being ruptured during cabinet installation. All in slab installations have a pressure gauge to ensure no pressure is maintained during the concrete pour and then once enclosed inside the slab the pipe is very secure.
