When I moved back to Melbourne in 2002 I had forgotten how hot summer
was. I was visiting my brother-in-law on a scorching hot summer day just
before Christmas, and I couldn't believe how much cooler his house was.
I had just left my sweatbox and the difference between the two houses
was amazing - and he was able to leave his windows and doors open - so
the kids were able to run inside to outside no problem. I had my home
all covered up with doors and blinds shut to keep the heat out, which

day, after hours, which suited me perfectly as I work through the day.
He talked me through all the options and pricing on a few different models
and wasn't at all pushy or demanding.
After one more sleepless hot night
I rang Mercury Heating and Cooling back and had the cooler installed
a few days later - the whole process took less than a week and I was
very impressed with the installers, they were spot on time and had everything
working in the one day. So last year when it was my turn to host Christmas
I was happy to have the family around, and not at all worried at how
hot the day was going to be.
