I use the system much more than I thought I would, often just on FAN mode which doesn't cool the air so much as fill my home with fresh air from outside. When I do need the unit on hot days, it is fantastic - I leave my front door and a couple of windows open to let the hot air out, and I can hardly hear it running - I just feel the cool breeze flowing in through the vents.
Installation took less than a day, and all the tradesmen and deliveries were exactly as I was told they would be - the installer put sheets down for any dust and left my place exactly as he found it. I was so pleased with the price, the installation and the actual cooling I gave my sister-in-law the number for Mercury Heating and Cooling, and she now has exactly the same system in her house.

When I moved back to Melbourne in 2002 I had forgotten how hot summer was. I was visiting my brother-in-law on a scorching hot summer day just before Christmas, and I couldn't believe how much cooler his house was. I had just left my sweatbox and the difference between the two houses was amazing - and he was able to leave his windows and doors open - so the kids were able to run inside to outside no problem. After one more sleepless hot night I rang Mercury Heating and Cooling back and had the cooler installed a few days later - the whole process took less than a week and I was very impressed with the installers, they were spot on time and had everything working in the one day. So last year when it was my turn to host Christmas I was happy to have the family around, and not at all worried at how hot the day was going to be.

I contacted Mercury Heating and Cooling from a purple flyer I received in the mail and after faxing over a floor plan and then meeting a Rep, I was happy with the service and price on the two 14kW ducted Refrigerated Air Conditioners.
I had tight deadlines and specific requirements for the installation on the two quality townhouses I was developing, and Mercury was flexible to work in with the builder and other trades. On one day Mercury co-ordinated 6 tradesmen and a crane to lift the units onto the roof.
I was very happy with the sale of both properties soon after completion and to have them reviewed in various design magazines and even as a potential winner of "Home of the Year".
