WHAT ARE SPLIT SYSTEMS
A split system is made up of two units, split apart with an Indoor unit and Outdoor unit. A split system can be either a Wall Split or a Ducted Split. There are many different brands to choose from. A Split system is "refrigerated air conditioning" i.e. electric cooling and electric heating.

In many cases it may be cheaper to install and run two different systems to manage your heating and cooling requirements - i.e.Gas Ducted Heating and Evaporative Cooling.
